Reopening Procedures

REOPENING PROCEDURES FOLLOWING COVID-19 CLOSURE

As I am sure you are aware, we have been informed that the practice can reopen on 8th June 2020 but in a rather limited capacity in the first instance.

Your visit will be very different to what you have been used to in the past and all measures implemented have been done with your safety and that of our team in mind, which I know you understand is of paramount importance.

The following is a brief walk-through of how your visit will flow.

THE DAY OF YOUR APPOINTMENT

Please ensure that you have been to the lavatory, are well hydrated and have cleaned your teeth thoroughly. Only bring necessary items with you and unless you are accompanying a child or someone vulnerable, we kindly ask that you attend alone.

We would kindly request that all payments are made by card wherever possible.

ENTERING THE PRACTICE

On arrival, the door of the practice will be closed. At your appointment time, one of the team will come to collect you.  When you enter the waiting room, your temperature will be taken and you will be directed to wash your hands thoroughly.  You will then be taken into the surgery for any treatment to be carried out.  If there is another patient in the waiting room they will be at least 2m from you at all times.  You will notice that reception has now been screened off and the waiting room has been totally stripped down.  This has all been done with your protection in mind and to aid deep cleaning of all surfaces.  Payment may be taken in advance to reduce time spent in reception after your treatment has been carried out.

THE SURGERY

Any items that you have brought with you will be left in a designated box outside the treatment room.  You may notice that we will all be wearing a higher level of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) which sadly will make the usual interaction more difficult, but of course, is of paramount importance.

AFTER YOUR APPOINTMENT

When your appointment has finished, you can collect your belongings, sanitise your hands and will be escorted out. The surgery will then be thoroughly disinfected.

We would like to reassure all our patients that we only have your best interests and safety in mind and will continue to deliver the high level of care that you have hopefully become used to over the years.

We look forward to welcoming you back and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
